President's Words Niagara - Wheatfield Teachers' Association President

About NWTA

The NWTA represents 325 members, consisting of teachers, school counselors, psychologists, a social worker and term-substitutes. Our district includes four elementary schools; Colonial Village, Errick Road, Tuscarora Indian School and West Street; one middle school, Edward Town and Niagara-Wheatfield High School.
The NWTA is unique in that we educate a diverse cross-section of students. Our student population resides in the cities of Niagara Falls and North Tonawanda, the towns of Cambria, Niagara, Lewiston, and Wheatfield, the Village of Sanborn and the Tuscarora Nation of Lewiston. We are pleased that our history dates back to 1971 when The New York State Teachers Association certified our union. Today we are proudly affiliated with The New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) and The American Federation of Teachers (AFT). We are also honored to be a part of The American Federation of Labor and the Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO).
We hope this website proves to be a valuable resource for our members, retirees, and visitors.

President: Kevin Rustowicz
